Photographers consider winter as prime time in Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks. The summer crowds are gone and wildlife have developed their coats.
Yellowstone National Park is famous for the beauty of its landscapes and for its geological curiosity (multicoloured hot basins of water, active geysers, impressive canyon), as well as for its amazing wild fauna (Elk, Bison, Bighorn Sheep, Pronghorn Antelope, Coyote and Deer).
As for Grand Teton National Park, you will discover the enchanting Rockies, illuminated by endless snows and by scintillating glaciers. This spectacular chain of Tetons (about 64 km long) just stands in the south of the park of Yellowstone.
Most of Yellowstone's roads are usually snow packed during winter months, so when we cannot travel by SUV, we will ride snow coaches.

Les photographes considèrent l'hiver comme le meilleur moment pour visiter les parcs nationaux de Yellowstone et de Grand Teton. Les foules présentes en été ont disparu et les animaux sauvages ont revêtu leur magnifique fourrure d'hiver.
Le parc national de Yellowstone est célèbre pour la beauté de ses paysages et pour ses curiosités géologiques (bassins d'eau chaude multicolores, geysers actifs, impressionnant canyon), ainsi que pour son abondante faune sauvage (élans, bisons, antilopes Pronghorn, mouflons, coyotes et cerfs).
Quant au parc national de Grand Teton, vous découvrirez les féeriques Rocheuses, embellies par un chapelet de lacs glaciaires, illuminées par des neiges éternelles et des glaciers étincelants. La spectaculaire chaîne des Tetons (environ 64 km de long) se dresse juste au sud du parc de Yellowstone.
La plupart des routes à Yellowstone sont sont recouvertes de neige en hiver, nous utiliserons donc une autoneige quand les routes sont impraticables pour le 4x4.
